Frequently Asked Questions and Guidelines
How do we reserve a date?
- Your date is reserved with a signed contract and paid deposit.
What is the deposit?
- 50% of the Shakers Hall venue rental with the return of the signed contract. (Nonrefundable)
- A second deposit is required 60 days prior to the event date when the remaining Shakers Hall venue rental fee is due and 25% of the estimated food and beverage package if selected is payable. (Nonrefundable)
- Payments can include: Cash, Cashiers Check, and Credit Card. All Credit Card Payments are subject to an additional 3.5% charge.
Are there bar minimums?
- No, but there are discounts on the hall rental based on beverage purchases.
Can we bring our own food?
- Yes! You can bring in your own food as long as you indemnify Shakers of all liability related to the food and its service. We suggest that you use our catering capabilities, but if you choose a different catering service, it must be a licensed establishment. A certificate of insurance needs to be provided and a catering contract agreement needs to be signed and provided.
Do you have a hot cart for a buffet line?
- Yes! We have a 4 full pan electric hot cart for you to use.
Do you supply tables and chairs?
- Yes! We have chairs, round tables ( seat 4,6,8 people ), and 4 top rectangular tables that are available to use.
Do you have linens?
- We have both black and white table cloths and chair covers that can be rented.
Can we set up early?
- Yes! You can arrange for up to 4 hours of decorating time the day of the event.
Are there decorating restrictions?
- No adhering anything to ceiling or walls. No confetti, smoke, bubble machines or sparklers indoors. We require all items be removed before the conclusion of your event ( no later then 1am ). Please note that Shakers and its staff does not take responsibility for any personal belongings.
Can we use real candles?
- Yes! You can use real candles as long as the flame is 2 inches below the lip of a safe container.
Do you have a sound system?
- Yes! Microphone etc. is available.
Is there a TV or projector available?
- Yes! We have a television behind the bar as well as a 85 inch television on a rolling stand available.
Payment Information
- Payments can include: Cash, Cashiers Check, and Credit Card. All Credit Card Payments are subject to an additional 3.5% charge. Food and beverage packages are subject to state and local taxes and 22% gratuity charge.
